Knowing the Difference Between Conventional Incinerators and Low-Smoke Pyrolysis Technology

Conventional incinerators are often associated with air pollution and thick smoke due to incomplete combustion. Conversely, Pyrolysis is the process of thermal decomposition of organic matter at high temperatures without the presence of oxygen.

  • Conventional Incinerators: Rely on direct combustion with oxygen. Often produces thick smoke and particulates if not equipped with advanced scrubbers or filters.
  • TUNTAS Pyrolysis: Heating in an oxygen-free chamber (no direct fire on the material). Produces synthetic gas (syngas) which is then re-burned with high efficiency, thereby greatly minimizing exhaust gas release and hazardous emissions.
